Steve Baker

Managing Director

Steve is the Plan B Solutions founder. Complimenting Utility Services, Steve expanded Plan B Solutions to include a Transformer Engineering Group with Edgar Trummer, supporting Utilities needing Engineering support for transformers. Steve and Edgar saw a need for „one stop shopping“ to gather Transformer Engineering talent in one „TEAM“; many Engineers collaborating and offer Utility clients support on a combined level. „Contract with Plan B / TATC for one Engineer and you get us all“

Steve started his career learning the Utility business from the ground up at a Substation Engineering design company in Canada. His Utility career path took him through several positions including President of a Substation Automation startup, culminating in the largest Substation Automation project in the USA.
The acquisition of that company led Steve to our Transformer specific industry focused on dissolved gas analysis (DGA) and proprietary communications over multiple communication architectures.

When not busy managing the business, Steve’s focus is also performing all type of inspections on transformer related matters such as factory, winding, active parts, etc. inspections. As well as keep a hand in directly in the substations. Steve majored in Physics and speaks Spanish. Steve is an IEEE member

Gregor Seitlinger

Senior Engineer

Gregor has been working in the transformer industry since 2008. During this time, he has been supporting transformer manufacturers globally in their transformer design process through the simulation of transformer behavior. His expertise lies in the simulation of the transient behavior of transformers during lightning/switching impulses and their behavior during GIC events.

Gregor was heavily involved in the developed software solutions (STATEM, TRANEM) for transformer simulations that are used internally and by transformer manufacturers and research groups worldwide.

In 2018 he co-founded Seitlinger Software Solutions OG and in 2019 he also took over Seitlinger Power Engineering GmbH together with his brother, from their father Walter Seitlinger.
